1. Wash your face before and after wearing a mask
First tip is to wash your face before putting on your mask and after removing it, It’s essential to wear a mask on a clean face, but the most important is to re-wash your face after removing it because during the day the mask grabs all the bacterias, oils and dirt. Make sure that you use a gentle cleanser on your face and don’t exfoliate or scrub it too hard.
2. Keep your face hydrated
This is the most important step even if you have a sensitive or acne-prone skin is to moistrize your face, You should make sure you choose a moisturizer that is non-oily and fragrance-free. The reason why you should wear a moisturizer is that it keeps your skin hydrated at the same time and acts as a protective barrier from friction caused by your mask.
3. Remove the makeup
there is no need to wear makeup since we cover the most part of our faces, after sweating the residue from makeup can turn into a perfect breeding ground for bacterias causing acne.
4. Always use a clean or freshly washed mask
Never reuse the same mask especially if it’s meant for one-time use. If you have to wear a non-medical mask daily, it’s good to buy a good quality reusable masks. Many of these reusable masks come with up to five layers of filtration material so they can be very effective at stopping you from spreading any sickness to someone else.
5. Eliminate harsh chemicals on your skin
If you have to wear your mask a lot, avoid using acne creams with harsh chemicals, or only use these creams at night when you know you won’t be using your face mask, because they can cause to react with the bacteria and lead to skin issues.
